Air lingers between bodies of clay. The clay plates lean into one another, their intervals
keeping them from falling. The hollow spheres—fired with ash and flame—hold.
Release.
Hold again.
Nothing stands entirely on its own. Weight shifts from one body to another. Pressure
leaves traces. Air passes through openings, between surfaces, and across the floor as
shadow.
Some things are already there before they are noticed. A slight friction. An unstable
balance. A vibration that almost disappears. A shift made through touch, leaning, and
being held by another.
Clay, air, light, and shadow remain together without becoming one. The installation stays
with this unsettled state, where what is quiet begins to be felt.
